What "conversion-first" means when your client is a lawyer in Ahmedabad

What "conversion-first" means when your client is a lawyer in Ahmedabad

We have worked with a few legal professionals over the years. It is always the same challenge: the person looking for a lawyer is usually under some kind of pressure. A property dispute, a family matter, a business disagreement. They are not browsing. They are trying to find someone they can trust quickly. That changes everything about how you design the conversion experience.

Our client in Ahmedabad had been running Google Ads for about eight months before we got involved. The clicks were decent. The calls were not. They were spending around fifteen thousand a month and getting maybe four or five enquiry calls. The cost per lead was uncomfortable given how few of those led to actual retained work.

The trust problem is the conversion problem

We spent the first two weeks not touching the campaigns. We interviewed the client, read their Google reviews, and spoke to two people who had recently hired them. The picture that came out was clear: this person was deeply trustworthy, experienced, and had a specific area of expertise in commercial property law. None of that was on the website. The site had a stock photo of a gavel, some generic text about commitment and excellence, and a contact form.

A contact form is the wrong conversion point for a legal service. Nobody fills in a contact form when they are worried about a property dispute. They call. Or they message on WhatsApp. The form was a dead end that existed because someone put one there.

What we changed

We rebuilt the landing pages around the specific legal need rather than the generic practice. One page for commercial property disputes. One for residential. One for NRI property matters, which turned out to be a significant source of enquiries. Each page spoke to the specific anxiety the person in that situation would have, and ended with a phone number and a WhatsApp button, not a form.

We added a short video of the lawyer speaking directly to camera. Not a polished production piece. A genuine two-minute explanation of how he approaches the first consultation and what a client can expect. That video, more than anything else on the page, changed how people responded. Trust is transmitted through voice and face in a way that copy cannot replicate.

The call volume went up within the first month. Cost per call dropped by about forty percent. Not because the campaigns got better, although we made some targeting refinements, but because the landing experience matched what the person arriving actually needed.

This is what conversion-first means in practice. Not buttons and CTA copy. The question of what does this specific person need to feel safe enough to take the next step, and how do we provide that as directly as possible.
