OmegaPix is a free, browser-native toolkit for everyday image and PDF work — compressing, converting, resizing, and cleaning files without ever sending them anywhere. Every operation runs locally on your own device using WebAssembly, so the files you drop in are processed in the browser tab and never transit the network. There is no account to create, no upload step, no credits to spend, and no per-file limit to hit. The current release ships 27 tools today across four areas: Compress & Convert, Social Media Resizers, PDF Tools, and Privacy & Utilities (including an in-browser AI background remover). Because nothing is uploaded, work is fast (there is no round-trip to a server) and once a tool has loaded it continues to work offline. OmegaPix is installable as a Progressive Web App, so it can live on a phone home screen or a desktop and accept files through the native share sheet on mobile. OmegaPix is built and maintained by WebX Developers as the flagship image and PDF brand in their product line, and the same privacy promise extends to the OmegaPix Image Optimizer plugin for WordPress.
What it solves
Most online image and PDF tools require you to upload your files to a server you do not control, often behind an account, usage limits, or a paywall — which is slow, adds friction, and means your files leave your device and pass through someone else's infrastructure.
What it does
OmegaPix runs the same kinds of tools entirely inside your browser using WebAssembly. You open a tool, drop or pick a file, and it is processed locally on your device; then you download the result. Nothing is uploaded, there is no account or sign-up, and there are no per-file limits — so the work is private by construction and fast, with no upload-and-download round-trip.
What's included.
Screens.
Three steps, nothing uploaded
- 1
Open a tool
Go to omegapix.app and pick the tool you need, or install the app to your home screen or desktop. There is no account to create and no sign-up flow.
- 2
Drop or pick your file
Choose a file from your device — or share it directly on mobile. It is processed instantly in the browser tab using WebAssembly, on your own hardware.
- 3
Download the result
Save the finished file. Nothing was uploaded at any point; the original and the result both stayed on your device the whole time.
27 tools, grouped into four areas
One place for both image and PDF work, with no server in the loop. OmegaPix is in active development, and new tools are added over time.
Compress & convert
Image and JPG compressors, PNG/JPG conversion, PNG to WebP, HEIC to JPG, and an AVIF converter — reduce size or change format without quality guesswork.
Social media resizers
Ready sizes for Instagram, YouTube thumbnails, LinkedIn banners, Facebook, and X/Twitter, plus an OG/SEO image generator and a universal custom-size resizer.
PDF tools
Compress, merge, split, rotate, and delete pages; convert PDF to images and images to PDF; and strip document metadata with the PDF metadata remover.
Privacy & utilities
Remove EXIF and metadata, watermark or redact images, generate favicons, crop, and remove backgrounds with an in-browser AI model.
Private by construction, not by policy
OmegaPix does not ask you to trust a privacy promise — the architecture removes the need for one. Tools run as WebAssembly inside your browser tab, so processing happens on your device and your files are never sent to a server.
- ✓Your files are never uploaded. There is no upload step and no server-side processing.
- ✓No account, no email, no sign-up, and no API key to manage.
- ✓No per-file limits, credits, or paywalls gating the tools.
- ✓Because work is local, there is no upload-and-download round-trip; tools keep working offline once the page has loaded.

Common questions
Are my files really not uploaded?
Correct. Tools run as WebAssembly inside your browser tab, so files are processed on your device. There is no upload step and no server-side processing of your files.
Do I need an account?
No. There is no sign-up, no email, and no API key. Open a tool and start working.
Is it free? Are there limits?
OmegaPix is free, with no per-file limits, credits, or paywalls on the tools.
Does it work offline?
Once a tool's page has loaded, it can keep working without a connection because the processing happens locally. Installing the PWA makes this easier to rely on.
Can I install it on my phone or desktop?
Yes. OmegaPix is a Progressive Web App, so you can add it to your home screen or desktop, and on mobile you can send files to it through the native share sheet.
How does the AI background remover stay private?
The background-removal model runs in your browser like the other tools, so the image you process is not sent to a server.
Is there a version for WordPress?
Yes. OmegaPix Image Optimizer brings the same privacy-first approach to your own WordPress site. It is live on the WordPress.org plugin directory.
